Love is the Way
Saturdays from 9:00am - 9:50am
The way of love is essential for addressing the seemingly insurmountable challenges facing the world today: poverty, racism, selfishness, deep ideological divisions, competing claims to speak for God. This book study will lead participants to discover the gifts they need in order to live the way of love: deep reservoirs of hope and resilience, simple wisdom, the discipline of non-violence, and unshakable regard for human dignity.
Meditation and Discussion
Saturday's 9:30am - 10am coffee/tea; 10am - 11am silence/sharing
Meditation is a practice which focuses on a sound, object, visualization, breath, movement, or attention itself in order to increase awareness of the present moment, reduce stress, promote relaxation, and enhance personal and spiritual growth. The Meditation Group is a community which supports and encourages one another on this journey of life. It is an open and affirming community which meets every Saturday morning: 9:30-10 coffee/tea, 10-11 silence and sharing. This group is facilitated by a variety of participants. Donations are accepted for future spiritual opportunities. All are welcome! This group is currently meeting via Zoom. Please e-mail email@example.com to get the link.
Sharing, Expanding and Growing
In addition to our Progressive Sunday service, we also offer other opportunities through our Spirituality Center. We invite everyone to explore our activities, programs, groups and special events. Find something that speaks to you. Looking for something specific, or have an idea to share? Please, contact us. No matter who you are or where you are on your life's journey, you are welcome here.
A labyrinth is a single path which leads to a center and out again. It is a way to walk and reflect on our own spiritual path. This is a self-guided experience that is open to the community. The labyrinth is located on the southwest corner of the church lawn.
A Course In Miracles
Thursdays 5:45pm-6:45pm/Saturdays 1:00pm-2:00pm
The course does not aim at teaching the meaning of love, for that is beyond what can be taught. It does aim, however, at removing the blocks to the awareness of love's presence which is your natural inheritance. The opposite of love is fear, but what is all-encompassing can have no opposite. The course can then be summed up very simply in this way: Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. Herein lies the peace of God.
